Overview
VelorynsBot (the “Bot”) is an operations and quantitative-research assistant for the Veloryn platform. It provides system-health notifications, strategy-research status, soak-test updates, operational alerts, and controlled approval workflows.
VelorynsBot is independently operated by Veloryn and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram.
Information we collect
When you interact with the Bot, we may receive:
- Your Telegram user ID and chat ID
- Your Telegram username and display name, when available
- Commands and messages you send directly to the Bot
- Dates and times of interactions
- Approval or rejection decisions submitted through the Bot
- Bot responses and the results of requested operational actions
- Security and diagnostic information required to detect errors or unauthorized access
The Bot may also process Veloryn system information, including service health, research-experiment status, strategy-monitoring evidence, and operational alerts.
Information you must not send
Do not send the Bot brokerage passwords, API or private keys, Telegram authentication codes, banking or credit-card information, government identification numbers, database passwords, or server credentials.
Veloryn does not intentionally request these items through Telegram. Secrets required by Veloryn are maintained outside Telegram using restricted server-side configuration.
How we use information
Information is used only to authenticate and authorize interactions, respond to commands, deliver monitoring and security alerts, report research and soak-test status, record approvals and actions, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, improve reliability, and maintain security or compliance audit records.
Telegram messages are not used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or used to build unrelated machine-learning datasets.
Automated actions and trading safety
VelorynsBot may monitor services, execute approved test workflows, restart permitted services, rotate logs, and prepare research proposals or pull requests.
The Bot is not authorized to enable live or paper order submission; place or modify brokerage orders; change brokerage credentials or configuration; disable risk controls or kill switches; promote a strategy to live trading; or merge or deploy code without the required approval. Strategy research and infrastructure certification remain separate processes.
Service providers
Information may be processed by providers necessary to operate VelorynsBot, including Telegram for message delivery and Bot Platform access; DigitalOcean for hosting, storage, networking, and backups; GitHub when an authorized workflow creates or reviews repository changes; and PostgreSQL for protected operational and audit records.
These providers process information under their respective terms and privacy policies. Telegram’s handling of information is governed by its Privacy Policy.
Retention
We retain routine Bot messages and diagnostic records for up to 90 days, and operational approvals and security audit records for up to 12 months. Encrypted backups remain until expiration under the configured backup-rotation schedule.
Research records may be retained longer to preserve research integrity. Where possible, Telegram identifiers and message contents are removed or anonymized before long-term retention. Information may be retained longer when required for a security investigation, legal obligation, dispute, or abuse prevention.
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed only to providers required to operate the Bot, at your direction or with your consent, to investigate abuse or security incidents, when required by applicable law or a valid legal request, or to protect Veloryn, its systems, or its users.
Security
Veloryn uses restricted least-privilege service accounts, protected environment configuration, encrypted network connections where supported, access controls, audit logging, submission-disabled trading safeguards, secret filtering, and encrypted backup procedures. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may stop using or block the Bot at any time. You may also request a copy, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your Telegram account, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Requests are handled without undue delay, subject to security, legal, and legitimate audit-retention requirements. Contact privacy@veloryn.cc and include your Telegram username or numeric user ID. Do not include credentials.
Children
VelorynsBot is intended for adults and is not designed for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. Applicable safeguards will be used where required by law.
Changes
This policy may be updated when VelorynsBot’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. The latest version and effective date will be published on this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Bot or Veloryn website when appropriate.
